Adoptions
In Ontario, a relative may adopt a child without obtaining a homestudy or requiring approval from the Minister of Children and Youth Services as a suitable parent. We assist clients with completing an Application for a step-parent adoption or other relative adoption in Ontario.
We assist with the completion of all necessary court forms, work with you to obtain the required consents to the adoption, and finalize the adoption with the Court. We can also assist with changing the adopted child’s name and registering the new name with the Registrar General of Ontario.
